Xperia has started rolling out firmware update with build number 23.5.A.1.291 to its Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 range of devices. The new update will bring back Sony’s new STAMINA mode for the Xperia Z3 series.
The STAMINA mode is one of the most requested feature by customers as it helps in power saving. When your smartphone is in STAMINA mode, your phone automatically shuts down app processes when they not in use. The company has introduced the STAMINA mode in the Z5 line up last year.
Android Marshmallow already comes with the Doze feature that helps you conserve your phone's battery by switching off apps when not in use. But Sony has still decided to re-introduce its own feature in the latest update, after receiving numerous requests for customers .
The update is currently available for the Xperia Z2 model number D6503 but, is expected to roll out to other devices soon. We will keep you updated as other Xperia devices start getting the latest update!
