Huawei confirms launch of G9 Plus today, coming with dual camera and NFC payment

Huawei has released the official teaser for Huawei G9 Plus, the phone is launching today in China. The teaser image hints at a dual camera setup for the upcoming phone, with a big battery, video recording (4K expected), mobile payments via NFC, fingerprint scanner, and a big screen. With the teaser released Huawei has all but confirmed the upcoming phone to have a dual camera on the back.

Dual cameras on the back is the new in-thing in these days, companies have started releasing smartphones with dual-cameras on the back, Coolpad has announced Cool 1, Huawei has its P9 with dual camera, LG is rumored to bring LG V20 with dual camera, there are also rumors floating around which expects Apple to also use a dual camera on its upcoming iPhone.

Huawei has launched its ‘Huawei Pay’ Mobile Payment System in China earlier in March this year. With the teaser clearly showing a credit card, the mobile payment system is surely coming to the new G9 Plus phone with NFC. No other details regarding the specs are known for G9 Plus, the phone may or may not sport homegrown Kirin chip.


Huawei is seeing great success in its home market of China, and the company is pushing hard to keep the place with releasing new phones. The company today launched its P9 smartphone in India. The company is also working on a new device which is said to be the successor of the Nexus 6P device which the company launched last year. Unlike Nexus 6P, the device comes with Huawei branding instead of Nexus, the phone has shown up TEENA and is launching just a day before IFA event.
