[UPD] First-generation Samsung Galaxy Tab S may receive Marshmallow update in the near future

24 August 2016 0

Update (24 August):

There has been a lot of discussions about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S receiving the Marshmallow update. Meanwhile, the mirrors for firmware version T805XXU1CPH5 for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (LTE) (SM-T805) is available for download. The download links are given below.

Samsung has been rolling out Marshmallow update to their devices. The company's subsidiary in Netherlands has earlier informed that the company will not be providing Marshmallow update to the first-generation Galaxy Tab S(8.4 or 10.5-inch).

Samsung Greece has revealed today that the company has plans to distribute the update in the region in response to a comment. Even though both these statements look contradictory, there is a chance that the company may provide the update to the Galaxy Tab S in the coming months. An information states that Samsung is currently in the development of a firmware which suggests that the update may come alive in the near future.

Well, the update is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. More information about the update will be available in the coming weeks.
