IFA 2016: Huawei launches mid-ranger Nova and Nova Plus smartphones | Gallery preview

Today at IFA 2016, IFA unveiled a brand new Nova series. There are two mid-ranger smartphones Nova and Nova Plus announced. The Nova is packed with a 5 inches display with full HD screen resolution and 443 PPI. The device has USB Type-C for connectivity. The standard Nova variant design is quite similar to the flagship P9 and the rear side of Nova Plus is like the Huawei Mate 8.

The latest mid-rangers are featuring the same diamond cut Huawei design. The bezel of the standard Nova variant is just 1.8mm. The device will be released in silver, Grey and Rose gold color variant. It looks like this variant will be targeting Galaxy A5 in the local Chinese market. The Octa core Soc is powering the device at a clocking speed of 2 GHz built on the 14nm process with 3GB of RAM. A 3,020 mAh will keep the device lights on, and it can be charged using fast charging 5V2A tech.

According to the company, it can survive 5 hours on consecutive Pokémon go gaming. The device features 4 level fingerprint scanner. It will be available in the dual-SIM variant, however, the carrier variants will have the single SIM slot. Its internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB. The 3GB variant with 32GB internal storage will cost 399 Euros.

Now the larger variant, the Nova Plus. Surprisingly, its rear camera is on the rear side. The device is packed with Full HD 5.5 inches 2.5D display. It will be available in same color variants like the standard Nova smartphone. The Soc is similar to the standard variant. A slightly bigger 3340mAh battery will be on board to keep the device lights on.

The front-facing selfie-centric camera is of 8MP. Following the trend of beautiful selfies, Huawei introduced both the smartphones have a Beautifier Model 3.0, it can recognize the face with more precision and will provide accurate results. It can focus in just 0.3 seconds.

The device rear camera has Optical image stabilization and can record video of 4K quality.Another thing Huawei introduced is a still image extraction. The device can take 1000 Images on a single charge which is quite phenomenal. The 3GB variant with 32GB internal storage will be up for sale at 429 Euros.
