Before launching the two new smartphones Neffos X1 and Neffos X1 Max, TP-Link gave a brief intro and history of their company as today they completed their 20 years of excellence.

Founded in 1996, TP-Link is the global provider of reliable networking devices. They are, in fact, the number 1 provider of WLAN devices. At IFA, Jeffrey Chao, Co-Founder, Chairman of TP-Link shared the future plans of the company.

He said -

"Their aim is not only to connect people (using their existing products) but connecting things too (IoT)."

This suggests that the company is now turning towards the evolving Internet of Things too and we will soon witness some great initiatives from the company.

The latest TP-Link describes that the Neffos X1 and X1 Max smartphones have a different design and built using premium materials.

Jeffrey Chao said –

The new Neffos X Series smartphones are the perfect combination of smart technology and stylish design. They bring unparalleled value to our customers by prioritizing features that help them stay closer to everything and everyone around them.

Both the smartphone have a dual-curved metallic back cover. Talking about the Neffos X1 Max, the device has the narrowest edges in the industry at 2.75mm, whereas Neffos X1 has edges of 2.95mm. This shows that both the smartphones have thinner edges with side mute button. To be precise, X1 comes at a 7.95mm, and X1 Max has a 7.75mm thickness. The devices have super-thin bezels and smooth, chamfered edges that measure only 0.6mm.

Both the smartphones come with a 13MP rear camera with Sony sensor with a 5MP front-camera with fast PDAF. The cameras have real-time Night shooting, so even in the low light, the users will be able to clearly see the pictures.

X1 Max has a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on the top that makes swiping through the screen easier. As the name implies, X1 Max has a 5.5-inch display.

Both X1 and X1 Max are powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and differ in terms of RAM and internal storage. Neffos X1 comes with 2GB+16GB or 3GB+32GB models whereas X1 Max offers you huge amount of storage variants. X1 Max comes with 3GB+32GB or 4GB+64GB storage variants.

Also, both the smartphones differ in battery capacity; X1 has 2250mAH battery and X1 Max has a 3000mAH battery capacity. However, only the latter comes with a fast charging support. TP-Link says that both the smartphones have super-fast fingerprint scanner which can unlock the device in a mere 0.2 seconds.

Neffos X1 is priced at 199 Euros whereas X1 Max will cost you 249 Euros.

Mobilescout attended the event to pull out a few interesting pictures for their readers.
