Moto Z and G4 models finally get a chance to run Android Nougat

27 September 2016 4

It has been more than a month since Android 7.0 Nougat finally reached public. Unfortunately, only Nexus devices were able to receive the latest OS officially. But recently other manufacturers have also started to update their latest flagships to Nougat. Motorola is the latest one to enter the list as Moto Z and Moto G4 receives Nougat update.

One of the Motorola spokesperson confirmed that Moto’s Z and G4 family devices will receive Android 7 Nougat update earlier next month. However, the spokesperson didn’t specify which models of the devices will receive the update. But we can expect that all of their devices will be able to taste the Nougat in the coming days. The following models of Moto Z and Moto G4 will receive Nougat update.

We can expect more models to receive Android Nougat update soon. This might include older models of Motorola as well as other devices too. Stay tuned as we update the list of smartphones supporting Android Nougat.

I think the "Z" series is missing Nougat at the moment along with Moto Z and G4. But now as these two devices are going to have them, the Z series remains without the latest OS version.
