Intex has launched a new budget smartphone Aqua Strong 5.2 in the Indian market. The phone is 4G enabled and also supports VoLTE (Voice over LTE). The new phone is the successor to Aqua Strong 5.1 which was launched back in August this year.

The phone is powered by 1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor and Mali T720 MP1 GPU. There is 2GB RAM and16GB internal storage available on the phone with support for microSD card up to 32GB. The phone comes with a 5” FWVGA IPS screen with 854 x 480p resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

There is a 5MP camera with LED flash on the back of the phone, the camera is capable of shooting 720p videos at 30fps. On the front, there is a 2MP camera with front LED flash for selfies and video calls. Intex has included Smile Detection, Face Beauty, Panorama Mode and Voice Capture in the Aqua Strong 5.2.

The phone will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Aqua Strong 5.2 is priced at INR 6,390 and allows the company to put its presence in the 4G entry level market. The phone is dual-SIM enabled and since the phone is 4G and VoLTE enabled it can be used on recently launched Reliance JIO network.

The phone comes in three different colours Blue, White, and Champagne. The phone is listed on Intex’s website but no mention of availability is given there. Last month Intex launched Aqua S7 with 4G and VoLTE enabled, the phone was priced at INR 9,499.
