YouTube Kids has received a new update which makes it possible for parents to block any particular video and even the complete channel. This new feature is an addition to existing parental control tool to help them make sure that their kids don't end up watching any inappropriate or misleading video.
This blocking feature is available on YouTube Kids v1.95.2 and can be accessed by tapping the three-dot menu available alongside the video and channel name. Refer the screenshot below to see what it looks like.
And once a particular video or channel has been blocked, it's synced using your Google account. It means no matter where you use YouTube Kids again, be it a new device or re-installation of the app, those channels and videos will remain blocked as long as you are using the same Google account.
YouTube is rolling out this feature in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Malaysia, Philippines, India, and Singapore.
