Finally, Meizu fans wait is over as company announces the premium flagship smartphone Pro 6 Plus. The new Pro 6 Plus is the successor variant of Pro 6 and it was earlier spotted at Geekbench and 3C certification ahead of the announcement. The new successor is bringing a number of improvements, let’s have a look at them. Mid-ranger Meizu M3X is also unveiled alongside the Pro 6 Plus.
As being a Plus variant, it is featuring a 5.7-inch display. Unlike most of the Chinese flagships, it is packed with quad HD OLED display of 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.The Samsung’s currently top of the line Exynos 8890 Chipset is powering the handset at a clocking speed of 2.0 GHz. The ARM Mali-T880 is the GPU on board. The Octa-core chipset is accompanied with 4GB of RAM. The base variant packs with 64GB internal storage whereas the top of the line variant has 128GB internal storage.
The Meizu Pro 6 Plus dimensions are 155.6 mm x 77.3mm x 7.3 mm and it weighs 158 grams only. To keep the lights on of the new flagship, a 3,400mAh battery is on board. As far as the device camera sensors is a concern, the rear primary camera module is of 12MP with f/2.0 aperture and Phase detection Autofocus. The front facing side is adorned with a 5MP module like most of the flagships available in the market.
The device has lightning fast fingerprint scanner which will unlock the handset within 0.15 seconds. As OS the device has the newly announced Flyme 6 which is based on Android Marshmallow. According to the company, their new Flyme 6 OS is packed with 400 new features.
The Pro 6 Plus will be released in three color variants including Deep Ash, Moonlight Silver, and Champagne gold. The base variant will cost 2999 Yuan whereas the top of the line variant with 128GB cost 3299 Yuan. As far as release is a concern, it is still in the dark when this device will be hitting Chinese smartphone market but we can expect it will be up for sale in the first half of December 2016.

Two things, in my opinion, are those that I liked the most - the 12MP back camera and the 3,400mAh battery. And I think with a camera like 12MP, I will like to go at least for 128GB memory option.
Very well. But it's the Flyme 6 OS that's of some curiosity to me. Though it's based on the relatively older Marshmallow, there's no harm in trying out this particular one.
From what I understood it comes with two variants - 64GB and 128GB internal storage, but with only one RAM option. Is that right?
Yeah. Actually, I read the article twice after reading your comment. And I think there's no option of any other RAM apart from the 4GB RAM.
Nice on this one! Actually, Meizu Pro 6 was one of my favorite devices when it was launched. And it's really very nice to see that it now comes with a fresh new OS.
