Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge T-Mobile variants receiving Nov security patch

01 December 2016 2

The T-Mobile variants of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are now getting a software update. The update won’t be bringing major change but instead, it will be comprised on Nov security Patch. It will keep the device safe from latest threats.

Finally, the carrier bound variants of S6 and S6 Edge are also getting Nov Security patch. Even though now we are in December, for sure Samsung is getting ready to release December security update for the latest flagships. But it’s good to have latest security patch a bit late than having it never.

As the update is not a major update that’s why it won’t be bringing changes in device UI and we shouldn’t expect major changes until company release Nougat update. At the moment, we are not sure when the latest Nougat will be rolled out for 2015 flagships. Apart from Nov security patch, the update brings stability and performance improvements.

This update is bringing all that Samsung detailed in the first week of November. After the update firmware version of Galaxy S6 is updated to G920TUVU5EPK5 whereas for the Galaxy S6 Edge, the version is G925TUVU5EPK5.

The T-Mobile subscribers won’t have to worry because within few days they will be getting notification of OTA of this update. If the update already received on your T-Mobile GS6 or GS6 Edge, do share your experience with other fellow readers in the comments section below.
