Back in August ahead of IFA 2016 event, the South Korean tech giant Samsung unveils their new Gear S3 smartwatch. The Smartwatch is unveiled in two variants based on design frontier and classic.
Soon after the Samsung’s announcement Here WeGo confirmed that they will release a new navigation app for latest Gear S3. The new app will have new features on board. These promises were made back in August and finally today company fulfills their promise by releasing an updated version of WeGo navigation app which is currently available for Gear S3 only.
As expected the navigation app is pretty comprehensive and allows the user to search for the route via public transit, route on car and foot. The good thing is the app doesn’t require any syncing with the Android version app of Here WeGo but instead it will be working as a standalone app.
To further boost its performance, the app will be using the cache data. The UI of the new app is intelligently tweaked according to the circular display of Gear S3. The App will soon receive an offline access feature. The Gear S3 owners can download the updated version of the app via Galaxy Apps store. We can expect the team behind Here will release this updated version of Gear S2 as well.
