It all started with Amazon Echo and since then, we have seen various smart home assistants in the market from both startups and established brands like Google Home. But all of them work more or less the same which is you say voice commands and these assistant speakers gets the job done. And this is where the WooHoo smart hub comes into the picture which not only does what Echo does but a lot more than that.
To start off things, the WooHoo smart hub features a 7-inch touchscreen display where you can view all the relevant information and even interact. It also features voice and video recognition which it can perform tasks customized for the specific person by identifying his/her face and voice.
It has a 13MP rotating HD camera which keeps an eye on the surrounding even in the night which means you can also use it a security device. It supports integration with various devices like Nest and Echo which means it also doubles as an IoT device for your smart home.
Other than all this, WooHoo comes with a paid cloud subscription service which takes the whole usability of the device to the next level. The cloud subscription makes sure that you are in control of your smart home all the time and from anywhere, be inside the house or outside like in the office. And since it is AI-enabled, WooHoo learns from your habits and usage pattern to get smarter and smarter.
While WooHoo does appear impressive and promising in the first look, it still has a long way to go. It is currently simply a Kickstarter project where it has surpassed its goal of $30,000 with over a month still to go. If you are interested in getting one, it will cost about $200 on retail but you can preorder one now for just $49 with worldwide shipping.
