Coolpad announces 5-inch unlocked midrange Conjr for the US at $180

06 January 2017 4

The Chinese giant LeEco technically owned smartphone manufacturing company Coolpad just unveiled a new mid-ranger smartphone for the US customers. Unlike most of the flagships in the stated, this handset will be sold as an unlocked smartphone. The latest Coolpad mid-range device is dubbed as Coolpad Conjr.

The announcement of this handset in the US clearly indicates LeEco doesn’t want to leave US market without any profits. A few weeks ago, reports popped up that LeEco is facing issues of cash flow deficiency after the US launch but it looks like the company is slowly recovering by releasing unlocked smartphones in the US via retailers including Amazon, Target, and others. Now the latest CoolPad is next in line.

Though cojr is a mid-ranger smartphone but still it is packed with an attractive premium design. Soon after the announcement, the device is up for pre-orders at $180 via Newegg. It will be released at US largest online retailer Amazon on January 19th.

The build quality of this handset is pretty great and the company specially optimized it for the multitasking thanks to its 3GB RAM and MediaTek Octa-core processor. On the rear side, the camera snapper is 13MP while the front-facing snapper is the 8MP sensor.

As OS, the device is pre-installed with Marshmallow with a heavy UI layer from the company which makes it much modified as compared to the stock version. As Opposed to other two unlocked mid-ranger Honor 6X up for sale at $250 whereas the ZTE’s Blade V8 Pro costs $230, the Coolpad Conjr can be pre-ordered for $180 only. Let’s have a look at device hardware below.

I think, it's an unlocked variant and that's why it might be a bit cheaper. But still a phone that has a 5-inch screen is surely in a budget range when its priced for less than $200.

It's easier to read the specs and features this way - in a tabular format. I am seeing this kind of presentation for the first time and it looks damn good and easy to read and understand too.
