Samsung might not have completely come out of the trauma of the Galaxy Note 7 chaos, but, it’s working hard to investigate what caused the devices to catch fire. Investigations are being done and according to their probe team, batteries are the main culprit. Several investors believe that Samsung may not disclose the exact problem of the Galaxy Note 7 but will rather take care of the aspect in its next flagship. And, going by all the leaks and rumors, we know that Samsung is working on Galaxy S8 and if all go well the device would be unveiled in April 2017.
We hardly leave a day without covering any speculation of the Galaxy S8. A few hours ago, we encountered a leaked render that once again confirmed the gigantic display of the device which is curved too. And now, a wholesale Chinese online dealer Fastcardtech has listed the Galaxy S8 device with the description ”Cheap Samsung Galaxy S8.”
While the visuals or looks are similar to what we have been learning through leaks and rumors, the price seems to be quite low, even if it’s a wholesale price. The price the site mentions is only $699 and looking at the said worthy features and specifications, this price is too low.
The price is lower than the prediction we had last month from the experts at the investment bank Goldman Sachs. According to their forecast, the Galaxy S8 will be priced higher than the Galaxy S7 by 15-20%. This means the price of Galaxy S8 could go beyond $800.
Talking about the specifications, according to the Fastcardtech listing, the Galaxy S8 holds a 5.7-inch IPS display with 3840x2160 pixels resolution. It is powered by the Exynos 8895 processor with 8GB RAM, opposed to what we have been listening to. Galaxy S8 has been in rumors for its 6GB RAM and this listing shows 8GB RAM which is quite a big adoption if Samsung has done it already. This variant listed o the site holds a 256GB internal memory and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. According to the listing, the device comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera and holds a 3660mAH battery.
Some of the specifications do go parallel with those we have been covering but some of them are just indigestible. Take this listing like the pinch of salt and stay tuned for more information related to Galaxy S8.

Why's Samsung keeping the price of the Galaxy S8 so costly? Will it be upwards of $800 or $699? Taking the GN 7 into account and needing to gain the trust of the consumers, they should keep it a tad less.
But if Samsung is providing a whopping 8GB of RAM, what's the issue about higher price?
Having read about the Galaxy Note 7 disaster for so long now and the investigation recently, I think, it should be fine even if Samsung just puts the chaos behind it and see to it that the same thing doesn't repeat with the Galaxy S8.
Though what you say is right, what's the problem for Samsung to bring out the details of the findings? It's vital for everyone to know from the security point of view so users can take care of such battery issues.
It was nothing from the point of customers to take care of. Whatever the problem was, was from the company's side - whichever - Samsung or battery manufacturers.
