Android-powered tabs market is not pretty exciting for manufacturers. That’s why in last year or so we haven’t seen new Android tabs from OEMs and the reason is quite obvious, low demand doesn’t lure manufacturers to build Android tabs.
However, last year only Lenovo manufactured Yoga book tab impressed Android fans. The tab was featuring halo keyboard with high-end hardware. The device attracts customers because of its hardware and best value for money. Today the company launches the iterative variant of Yoga series. The new tab is dubbed as Yoga A12
Back in January, the Yoga A12 appeared in Amazon listing which gives us the pretty good idea of what to expect from this device in terms of design. The newly announced Yoga book not only shares the design language of last year Yoga book but also shares some hardware specs. The device is running on slightly older Android Marshmallow with Lenovo’s custom UI.
The A12 is featuring a 12.2-inch display with HD screen resolution. It comes pre-loaded with company’s halo keyboard which can be flipped as well. It provides user haptic feedback like older variant. Last year original Yoga book was featuring digitizer but that’s not the case with this year Yoga Book as it is affordable as compared to last year Book.
The Intel’s X5 Atom processor is powering the machine with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Without any doubt, the machine is much less powered as compared original device but it seems like Lenovo aimed this device to those buyers who are looking for an affordable machine. It costs $299 only and offers the similar experience like a Chromebook machine. The Yoga A12 will be up for sale from Feb 8th. According to the company, the device will survive 13 hours on normal usage and can be purchased in Rose Gold and Gunmetal Grey colors.
