This year's Valentine's Day Google doodle is a Pangolin mini game

13 February 2017 4

Google has been following a tradition of marking the festivities with its amazing doodles. Google changes its logo for various events, be it holidays or birthdays. And this time too Google is changing its logo which will continue to be changed till Valentine's Day. However it’s a bit different from previous years as it’s just not a logo — it's a four level game.

This years Valentine’s Day Google Doodle is an interactive, 4D game featuring pangolins. The story of the game is that there are two pangolins who have been separated by distance and have been sending love letters to one another since then. Finally they decide to meet each other on Valentine's Day for the first time. Since the pangolin only meets their mates once, it knows it has to make a good impression, so it travels around the world to learn how to pull off a perfect date.

The first level takes the Pangolin to Ghana to collect cocoa beans. In the second game, you will find the pangolin in India, and the third one will place it in China. So it depends on your time zone, whether you will have the first, second, or even third doodle at this point.

Google has partnered with the World Wildlife Fund for this particular Doodle. Pangolin is the most poached mammal in the world and there is a link in the game which will take you directly to the page where you can donate to help save the lives of pangolins.

You can play the doodle game on mobile web and the Google Search app for Android and iOS till February 14th.
