Uber has finally released an Android Wear app which will allow you to book a ride directly from the smartwatch on your wrist. It has been a long wait as Uber announced an Android Wear app at Google I/O 2015 which was about two years ago. And even though the app is here, you must be among the lucky ones with an Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch to use it.
Uber for Android Wear is a stand alone app which means you don't have to rely on an active connection with your smartphone for using it. You can use it even your smartphone nowhere around you. The app will allow you to look for Uber cabs around you, check the fare, and request an Uber if you want to. Once the ride has been booked, you can check information about the driver and the cab including the model number and plate number as well as estimated time of arrival.
As the app has been developed for Android Wear 2.0, you can also install it from your smartwatch's inbuilt Play Store instead of picking up the smartphone. If interested, you can get the latest version of Uber for Android Wear by clicking the link below.
