Today we have Good news for HTC fans who own One A9
and currently are on Sprint network. HTC finally decided to roll out next major update Nougat for the Sprint's locked devices. The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturing company HTC rolled out Nougat update initially for the flagship HTC 10
and now shifted their focus on the carrier locked devices. HTC already confirmed
that update will be rolled out to One M8
, One A9, and HTC 10. After fulfilling promise for the flagship M 10 now is the turn for other devices.
HTC support page confirmed that device is being updated with a firmware version 2.18.651.2 which includes the Nougat OS software as well as the last month January security patch. According to the HTC, the size is 1.86GB but one of the users who downloaded this update mentioned that update size is around 1.08GB.
The unlocked variant of One A9 also received the same update last month
but the security patch version was slightly older. Like always, we will recommend our those readers who own Sprint's One A9 should download the update using a stable Wi-Fi connection
