Last year rumors appeared online that Sony is planning to shut down its smartphone division due to low sales but later on Sony unveiled
Xperia X-lineup of smartphones. The series was so successful across the globe that it was indeed the comeback of the Japanese smartphone giant. From the look of the things, it seems like the
company is now getting ready to announce second gen of X-lineup devices at the upcoming MWC 2017 event.
Today a leaked image of alleged Xperia X2 appears online on Chinese social media site. The leaked image didn't reveal any details about the device design as it is only the front facing side. What we can deduce from this leaked image is that Sony tried to reduce bezel to make it a bezel-less smartphone. There is a dedicated button for shutter, the fingerprint scanner/power button is placed on the left side.
The rumors mill indicate that
X2 will be packed with Helio P20 SoC with 4GB RAM. The display will be of 5-inhes with Full HD screen resolution. On the rear side, the camera
snapper will be of 23MP, most probably the same snapper we have seen on
Xperia XZ smartphone. Up front, the camera snapper will be 16MP. Other hardware specs are still in dark. As nothing is from official sources, so we will recommend our readers to take this info and image with a grain of salt. Stay connected.
