Android-powered Lenovo Tab 4 series goes official at MWC 2017

Lenovo has announced an all-new Android-powered tablet series named Tab 4 at the MWC 2017 event in Barcelona. The series comprises of four Android tablets: Lenovo Tab 4 8 and Tab 4 8 Plus along with Lenovo Tab 4 10 and Tab 4 10 Plus. As the name suggests, the first two tablets feature an 8-inch display and the latter two tablets feature a 10-inch display. Additionally, both Plus variants are more premium than non-Plus variants.

Starting with Lenovo Tab 4 8 and Tab 4 10, both tablets feature an 8-inch HD display. Both of these are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage options. The major difference is in the battery as the Tab 4 8 is powered by a 4850mAh battery and the Tab 4 10 is backed by a 7000mAh battery. You will also find Dolby Atmos dual-stereo speakers on the tablets for better multimedia experience. Both the devices run Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box and are priced at $109 and $149 respectively. These tablets will be made available in Slate Black and Polar White colors.

As for the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus and Tab 4 10 Plus, the first premium thing about these models is the presence glass on both the back and front panels. You will get a 10-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution on both tablets. Other similar hardware specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB configuration options. Both tablets also feature a fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port. The difference is once again the battery as the Tab 4 8 Plus has a 4850mAh battery and the Tab 4 10 Plus has a 7000mAh battery. The software is Android Nougat 7.0 on both at a price of $199 and $249 ​respectively. You will be able to choose from Sparkling White and Aurora Black color options.

Other than this, Lenovo announced Kids Pack and Productivity Pack for these tablets which are optional packages. The Kids Pack comprises of a bumper case for protection from accidental falls and Blue-light filter along with a Kid's Account loaded with kids-specific content. As for the Productivity Pack, it comprises of a Bluetooth keyboard which can also be used a protective sleeve and stand.

Lenovo has priced the Productivity pack at $49.99 for all models but as for the Kids pack, you will have to pay $19.99 for 8-inch models and $24.99 for 10-inch models. All of these tablets will go on sale starting May this year.
