LG Stylo 2 Plus running Nougat spotted on Geekbench

LG is one of the slowest OEMs when it comes to upgrading its older devices to the latest Android version. This is the reason we have seen only a few older LG devices running Nougat but it seems like there is a new device which will be joining the list pretty soon. The LG Stylo 2 Plus phablet has been spotted on Geekbench listing which shows it running Android Nougat 7.0.

The listing is fairly recent and shows the device with model number LGE LG-K530 which is the same for the Stylo 2 Plus. It lists the software version as Android 7.0 which means LG is currently testing the phablet with the latest software version.


But the Geekbench listing should only be taken as a hint of things to come and not as a confirmation of the Nougat update. As LG is yet to make any official announcement for the device, it can choose not to release the upgrade even though it is under testing for now. In other similar news, LG has finally confirmed the Nougat update plans for the LG G4 and V10 smartphones.

Actually, the specs of the Stylo 2 aren't very impressive, but understandable that it's an old phone now. But still having the Nougat on that is always welcome :D :D

I really agree with the very first sentence of the story. Yeah, LG is a bit slower to get to the newer OS versions, if not the latest. It took long for them to confirm Nougat for G4 and V10.
