Android 7.0 updates now rolling out to the Verizon Moto Z Play

07 March 2017 2

Verizon is little late when it comes to Android updates. The same thing happened with the Moto Z Play also. The device received Nougat update in various regions but not in the US. And now, Android 7.0 Nougat has been finally rolled out for Verizon Moto Z Play.

The latest Nougat update can be installed on the device by simply hitting the system update option. Keep in mind that the device must be up to date for the Nougat OTA to appear. Connect to a strong WiFi for the download to start. After the process, your device will be updated with firmware version NDNS25.137-24-1-2.

The company is targeting MCOS24 software build with this update. As per the reports, the update contains several new Nougat features like split-screen apps, quick settings customization, and improved Doze Mode. One of the main problems when it comes to the installation of Nougat update is the battery life. But for Moto Z Play, this is not going to be a problem at all, as it packs an insane battery life.

On the other hand, users will be able to enjoy the Motorola-specific customizations even after the update. This indicates that the device is going to enter the next level after the installation of Nougat update. Update your device to Android Nougat if you are a Verizon user and share your experience with us in the comment box below.

Well, it has kind of become an identity of Verizon to bring out the Android updates late. That's why this can become a big downside to its customers.
