23 March 2017
Guess has now announced that they will be launching an updated version of their Connect smartwatch at the Baselworld 2017, which starts on March 23, 2017.
The newer version will run the Android Wear 2.0 and sport Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 2100 chipset. We might also see two variants as per size for the two sexes, a 41mm and a 44mm. Men will get five new variants to choose from whereas women will get three.
Although the company hasn't listed all the specs to the smartwatch, they said that. "over a hundred combinations of the display face, color, and sub-dials are available." Maybe the Android Wear 2.0 will further help select from a wide range of digital watch faces.
One of the features of the new Connect Watches is the ability to send messages directly from the watch itself with the help of a keyboard or handwriting recognition device. As of yet, the company hasn't revealed whether the new lineup will be waterproof or not, but considering the competition, we should see the feature now. Along with the waterproof feature, the company also didn't comment availability of Android Pay on the smartwatch.
Well, let's hope to see some good specs on the smartwatch as it unveils at the Baselworld 2017. We'll be posting the news and reports of many other devices along with this one, so stay tuned.
