Two Nubia smartphones with single and dual cameras appear at TENAA

21 March 2017 0

Two new Nubia smartphones today receives TENAA certification which means the devices can be released in China now. The devices model number is NX551J and NX573J. The design language of both devices is similar. Up front, the panel is of white color and it has a physical circular home button with a red minute circle on it.

The rear design of both the devices is quite different because one of the devices is packed with dual-rear cameras and antenna lines are of U-shaped much similar like Apple's iPhone 7 Plus whereas the other device is featuring single camera sensor. The TENAA listing also indicates one of the device is mid-ranger whereas the other has upper mid-ranger hardware.

The NX551J device with dual-rear cameras is packed with 5.5-inches Full HD OLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels. An Octa-core processor is powering the device at a clocking speed of 2.0GHz and 4GB of RAM. This variant built-in internal storage is 64GB and it can be expanded up to 128GB using external MicroSD card. The rear snapper is mentioned as 16MP while the selfie-centric front facing camera is 13MP. As OS, the device is running on Android Marshmallow 6.0. A 3,560mAh battery cell is keeping the device lights on.

The second device with NX573J model number is packed with 5.5-inches TFT display with 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution. It is also powered up by an Octa-core processor running at 1.5GHz. The SoC is accompanied with 3GB RAM and 64GB built-in memory. This device also has the 16MP rear camera and a 13MP front-facing camera lens. The Android Marshmallow 6.0 is on board as the operating system. A 2,900mAh battery cell is on board to power up the device.

As far as release is a concern, it is still in the dark when these smartphones will be released. Nubia is going to announce a new smartphone with dual rear cameras today and the device is expected to be dubbed as Z17 Mini. The NX551J could be that device but having the 5.5-inch display for a Mini variant is quite strange. Well, we don't have to wait much as the announcement event is just a few hours away. Stay tuned, we will be covering the launch event.
