ZTE has now unveiled a new set-top box for Android TV, the ZXV10 B860HV2. The new gadget is powered by the octa-core 64-bit Amlogic SoC along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage.
Users can playback movies in HDR (High Dynamic Range) in the HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats. The STB uses Google Android TV system and the Java virtual machine (JVM) to help make it compatible with all Android applications and even integrate the ZTE Smart Home solution that features multi-screen, HD video calling, Family Album, Home IoT network, and the Voice Assistant. Connectivity options include 802.11 ac 2T2R Wi-Fi wireless and RJ-45,10/100/1000M wire access along with Bluetooth 5.0 support. Some sources even report about the compatibility with HLG (Hybrid-Log Gamma), the format devised by the BBC and NHK for television broadcasts.
