Moto E4 certified by FCC | UPDx2 : a press render spotted online

A new image of the Moto E (fourth-generation) has been caught online. The device seems to share a lot in common with the recently launched Moto G5. The Moto E4 holds a fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button, this will be the first time a smartphone from Moto E-series is possessing a fingerprint scanner.



Update : April 7th, 2017

One more smartphone carrying the model number XT1773 has received the FCC certification. The model is believed to the Moto E4 Plus. The FCC documentation reveals that the device holds 5,000mAH battery. This would be the largest capacity battery ever placed inside a Motorola handset. No other specifications of the same have been seen.

Motorola seems to be on a spree of announcing one smartphone after the other. Just yesterday it announced the launch of Amazon exclusive Moto G5 which comes just a month after Motorola brought its Moto G5 Plus to the market. Now it seems the company is gearing up for the launch a yet another smartphone.

A new Moto smartphone, presumably Moto E4, with model number XT1762 has been spotted on FCC. This smartphone is a successor to the Moto E3 that was launched last year. Moto E3 carried the model number XT1706 when it got certified by the FCC last year.

From the information revealed on FCC website, we get to know that this device will feature a 2,800 mAh battery as opposed to the 3500mAh battery in its predecessor. The smartphone will have 16GB of storage capacity in the base version and 32GB of storage capacity in the high-end model. It will have dual-SIM functionality, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.

With the FCC certification, the smartphone has got the necessary clearance to be sold in the U.S. and Canada.

While we do not have any other details about the upcoming smartphone, but we are sure more information will be revealed by the company in the coming days. We'll let you know when more information about the Moto E4 surfaces. Stay tuned till then!
