The upcoming Moto E4 and E4 Plus are in leaks and rumors for quite some time, both these smartphones will be released as the successor of last year E3 lineup. The E-lineup is Motorola's affordable lineup as compared to G-series. Also, the company releases two smartphones every year of each series.
Today, the hardware specs sheet of both upcoming E4 and E4 Plus pops up online alongside the price tags. Despite the fact, we don't have clear accurate images of the upcoming duo but we do have full hardware specs sheet. Let's start with the standard Moto E4. The device recently spotted at Geekbench and FCC.
The Moto E4 is expected to have a 5-inch display panel with HD screen resolution of 720 pixels. The MediaTek MT 6737M SoC is powering the handset with 2GB RAM. The built-in internal storage is 16GB and it can be further expanded using external MicroSD card. The main primary rear snapper is of 8MP whereas the front facing module is of 5MP. A 2,800mAh battery cell is on board to keep its lights on.
The best thing is the device is running on the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1 straight out of the box. As far as pricing is a concern, the single-SIM device is expected to cost €150 in Europe. It will be released in blue, gray and gold color variants.
On the other hand, the E4 Plus is expected with a 5.5-inch display with HD screen resolution. The SoC will remain similar to the standard variant but there will be a 3GB RAM variant as well. Other prominent change will be the gigantic 5,000mAh battery cell and 13MP rear camera module. For the European customers, this device base variant with 2GB RAM will cost €190 whereas the 3GB RAM variant will be slightly expensive. It will be available in gold and gray color only.
From what we heard, Moto E4 lineup will not only replace the E3 but also the last year G4 Play as they won't be the successor to it. Another good thing is despite the mid-rangers, both the devices will have the fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button. There will be dual SIM variant, it could have Hybrid dual SIM slot. However, it is still in dark.
Although most of the latest flagship are slim but that's the case with these two. The Moto E4 thickest part is 8.9mm whereas the E4 Plus will be 9.5mm thick. The E4 weighs 151g only whereas the E4 weighs 198g.
