Today, BlackBerry kickoff selling KEYone in the US via offline and online stores. Selected Best Buy physical stores, Amazon.com and BestBuy.com are selling the device online. For those who are unaware, it is first BlackBerry smartphone manufactured by TCL. The device is designed by BlackBerry as it is featuring QWERTY keyboard with 4.5-inches display.
TCL Communications North America President Steve Cistulli tweeted that KEYone demand in the US is extremely high and stock vanished from online stores. He confirmed shortage of supply and stated:
Today has been an extraordinary day for the launch of the @BBMobile #KEYone here in North America. Demand has been extremely high & it’s encouraging to see this level of excitement and momentum around our BlackBerry smartphone launch. We understand customers are facing issues with stock outs when trying to purchase their #KEYone… We’re working closely with our retail partners, ensuring additional stock is available ASAP so they can fulfill customer orders.
Apart from confirming the high demand of KEYone in the US, he also admits that the device is not widely available from online and offline stores that's why customers are facing issues grabbing the latest KEYone in the US. Amazon.com was offering CDMA and GSM variants and as per latest info, both variants are out of stock. The demand was so high that KEYone becomes the no one best seller unlocked smartphone of Amazon USA.
The other online retailer was Best Buy which was offering GSM variants only and it is also out of stock. However, stocks are still available on selected physical Best Buy stores which mean if you are interested in this product, you can call physical Best Buy stores around your area to check out whether stocks are available there or not.
The KEYone is also in huge demand in the home country and Rogers pre-order numbers make it the most pre-ordered BlackBerry smartphone. The new BlackBerry smartphone is off to a flying start, we hope things remain good for BlackBerry KEYone in next few weeks as well.
