Moto Z2 Play is finally launched with those same expected specifications. The device achieves a slim design by sacrificing the battery. The battery of the device has taken a hit and holds 3000mAH juice. This is a significant 17% reduction of the battery.
According to Motorola, despite this reduction, the battery will give an average of up to 30 hours of usage. The fast charging capability is here and can charge the device for about 8 hours of usage in just 15 minutes.
Moto Z2 Play is powered by a Snapdragon 626 processor and is 10% faster than the Snapdragon 625 in the original. It maintains a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with full HD resolution. The fingerprint sensor can be seen at the bottom of the device. Moto Z2 Play also incorporates the control by gestures feature so that you can open most of the apps without unlocking the device.
Moto Z2 Play holds the same aluminum material and not the glass like the previous generations. It has a just 5.9mm thickness and yes it includes a headphone jack too.
Talking about the camera, the front side includes a 5MP sensor with wide angle lens of 85 degrees and also the dual LED flash with temperature correction. While the main camera is 12MP with dual autofocus pixel and laser focus, this will help to capture images even in low light conditions in addition to 4K video recording.
