The rumors of Alcatel Idol 5 are not new at all, we have been hearing rumors for quite some time. From the look of things, it seems like its US launch is inching closer because today a variant of Idol 5 bearing model number 6060S appeared at the FCC, the US regularity authority whose certification is must release the product in the US. Alongside the FCC certification confirmation, we have an image of upcoming Idol 5 which reveals few rear design details.
The Idol 5 rear body seems like made up of glass, the rear primary snapper is placed on the top left side. The single LED flashlight is below it. The fingerprint scanner is also on the rear side in middle below the flashlight. Alcatel's branding is on the bottom. From what we know so far thanks to the GFXBench listing, the Idol 5 will be featuring a 5.2-inches display with Full HD screen resolution.
The Qualcomm's Octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC is powering the device at a clocking speed of 2.0Ghz. The Adreno 506 is on board as GPU and the chipset is accompanied with 3GB RAM with 32GB built-in native storage which is further expandable using MicroSD card. The rear primary snapper is 12MP with 4K video recording capabilities whereas the front facing snapper is 8MP for video chats and selfies.
