Likewise, we have seen Amazon releasing Echo with its smart assistant named Alexa that took off this year, which could now be found on many handsets like Huawei Mate 9 or HTC U11.

Previously Cupertino tech giant Apple revealed their HomePod speaker that offered integration with Apple Music while Microsoft joined hands with Samsung’s Harman Kardon speakers with Microsoft’s AI assistant Cortana giving it a life. Likewise, Google came up with Google Home speakers that have a soul of Google Assistant as its AI.

Reports suggest that Samsung’s smart speaker is code named as ‘Vega’ that has been in making since a year and would utilize the power of company’s AI assistant named as Bixby. Though there is no information on when the product would launch the English version of Bixby got delayed.

It’s reported that about 36 million Americans would be using smart speakers which are twice more than the previous year. Time will tell how the Korean tech giant plays into the smart speaker market that is already getting highly competitive. What’s your take on it? Do share your views in the comment section below.

The fight for promoting Bixby from Samsung is still on hard and fast when there were attempts otherwise - even to have an app to remove the dedicated button.
