Sony rolling out June security patch for Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra

06 July 2017 3

Finally a good news for Xperia XA1 lineup owners, the company is now rolling out an update to the devices. Both Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra are already on the Nougat 7.0, the latest update brings the security patch level to June 1st. The build number of an update for the XA1 is 40.0.A.5.66 whereas the XA1 Ultra is receiving the update with build number 42.0.A.3.30.

As expected the update won't be rolled out in the single day but instead it will take few days to reach out every device. Although it's a minor update still we will recommend to take back up and make sure your device is at least 50% charged before starting the downloading process.

If you are amongst those who already received the update, feel free to share any change you notice in the comments section below.

As it's an OTA, yes, it will take time to reach out to the masses. But when's the update ready to roll out? Or has it started already?
