LG has launched a new phone under its mid-range ‘Q’ series called LG Q8. The phone is a smaller version of the LG V20 which was launched last year and comes with a secondary display on top of the phone. The LG Q8 was unveiled for the European market last week and has now received a second unveiling for the Asian markets.
The LG Q8 comes with an IP67 certification rating and can be submerged in 3-feet of water for up to 30-minutes. It has a 5.2-inch display with 1440 x 2560 QHD pixels resolution. It has a secondary display, which provides a shortcut to contacts and apps. Under the hood, the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone has 2TB expandable storage via a microSD card slot. The Q8 is backed by a 3000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0. The phone comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and runs on Android Nougat OS.
The LG Q8 has a dual-rear camera with 16 MP sensor and a 78-degree angle view, and a second 8 MP camera with a 135-degree ultra-wide angle lens. The phone has a 5 MP front camera with a 120-degree wide angle view. The LG Q8 will be available in Urban Titan and Sweet Pink colors.
