Motorola has finally launched the Moto Z2 Force Edition at an event in NYC. Almost everything about the device was already surfaced, thanks to those trails of leaks and rumors that couldn’t stop even today. Verizon accidentally listed the device for pre-orders that further confirms its specifications and yes price too.
Moto Z2 Force has the same rounded square shape and the same circular camera bump at the back, but the device has a thinner profile, with 6.1mm thickness. Unfortunately, the battery had to be sacrificed for the same.
The device looks similar to the last year’s handset, but there are some of the visible changes at the metal back. There isn’t any ridged horizontal design, instead, the device has a more conventional brushed metal look.
Moto Z2 Force has a 5.5-inch display with 1440x2560 pixels resolution. The screen is protected by the special ShatterShield technology designed to prevent against shattering.
Moto Z2 Force joins the league of smartphones that bear double camera at the back. The camera setup is similar to what we see in the Huawei P10, which means, there's a color sensor and the other is monochrome one. Both the sensors have 12MP resolutions, this contrary to it predecessor that come with 21MP. The camera setup is accompanied by the dual LED to add that extra brightness while clicking pictures at night. On the front, the Moto Z2 Force has a 5MP shooter.

- Snapdragon 835 processor

The Moto Z2 Force supports the existing Lenovo's Moto mods, though the company also announced the availability of the latest 360 camera module. This is the same mod that the company announced at an event in Ghana earlier this month. This new mod looks no lesser than the Essential Phone's accessory. The new mod is capable of shooting 4K videos and suitable for live streaming as well.
As speculated before, the Moto Z2 Force will be available to all the four major US carriers. The price of the Moto Z2 Force is $750. It will be available for purchase starting August 10 from carriers, Best Buy, or Motorola itself, but can also be pre-ordered starting today.
The company has also announced that the Moto 360 Camera will be available for $299.99 on August 10th.
