After recently launching the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung seems to be getting ready to unveil its upcoming tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active 2. The tablet recently made an appearance at the Bluetooth SIG where it was certified with the handset bearing model number “SM-T395.”
The upcoming Galaxy Tab is supposed to be the successor of the Galaxy Tab Active that was launched back in 2014. The new device will definitely sport some better specifications than the original hardware on the Galaxy Tab Active that run Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. However, the 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 might stay the same. Previous rumors suggest that the Galaxy Tab Active 2 will arrive in two variants – SM-T390 and SM-T395, the former featuring Wi-Fi connectivity whereas the latter with LTE as well.
The tablet market has definitely been unstable since the past couple years as customers have opted to pick up ‘phablet’ devices such as the Galaxy Note series and the Huawei Mate series. Hopefully, the new Galaxy tablet series will make a profit for the company as expected.
