Alcatel launches Idol 5S and A7 XL smartphones at IFA

Alcatel at IFA 2017 launched many new smartphones, including two from its Idol series. Alcatel Idol 5 and A7 are the two mid-rangers and they come with a decent set of specifications. Along with these two smartphones, the company also launched two more smartphones – Idol 5S and A7 XL.

Let’s being first with the Idol 5S and see what the device has to offer. Alcatel Idol 5S is powered by MediaTek Helio P20 processor and this model shouldn’t be mistaken with the USA-model Idol 5S that comes powered by Snapdragon 625 processor. The processor of the newly launched Idol 5S is coupled with a 3GB RAM and has a 2,850mAH battery.

It features a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS LCD display and has a 12MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP selfie camera.

Coming to the second phone and the fourth from the newly launched smartphones’ set, we have Alcatel A7 XL. It features a 6-inch 1080p IPS LCD display and just like the Alcatel A7 model, this XL model has a massive 4,000mAH battery.

It makes of an octa-core MediaTek MT6750S processor and 3GB RAM. It has dual rear cameras - 12MP unit and a 2MP camera that provides a software blur effect for portrait shots. It comes with a 5MP selfie shooter and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS.

The Alcatel Idol 5S is available right now in Europe in Dark Gray priced €399.99. And, the Alcatel A7 XL will be available in Black and Gold this November starting at €279.99.
