HTC Ocean Life to run stock Android O OS

13 September 2017 4

HTC Ocean Life smartphone will be released under Android One program and will run stock Android O with Sense 9.0, according to a new leak by custom ROM developer and tipster LlabTooFeR.

The leak states that HTC Ocean Life will run on the stock build of Android O along with its Sense 9.0 user interface. The tweet states that HTC may also remove a bunch of pre-installed apps from the upcoming phone. The device will be launched with Edge Sense, Zoe, and the HTC camera app.

Evan Blass has also replied on the tweet by LlabTooFeR and posted an image of what he states is the final render of the phone. The image looks similar to the company’s flagship phone, the HTC U11. The new phone could be the rebranded HTC U11 Life with stock Android. However, we ask readers to take the report with a pinch of salt till the news is confirmed by HTC.

Rumours suggest that the HTC Ocean Life will come with a 5.2-inch full HD display along with a 16 MP primary camera and a 16MP front camera for clicking selfies. The Ocean Life will be a mid-range device and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with 32 GB of storage. There's no word on the amount of RAM on the upcoming phone. The handset is also expected to carry an IP67 rating and come with HTC Usonic ear buds with active noise cancellation.

Removing a "bunch" of pre-installed apps will make the phone even more lovable, I'm sure. Any way to find out more about which apps are they going to remove?
