HMD Global has launched four smartphones under its Nokia-brand and is now expected to launch another budgeted smartphone dubbed as Nokia 2. Nokia 2 was to launch with Nokia 8 but that did not happen. The smartphone has earlier appeared on Geekbench and has now made its way to FCC revealing some of its specifications. The FCC listing has been shared by tipster Roland Quandt and shows that the phone could come with a 4000mAh battery which is the largest battery size seen on any Nokia phone until now. Previous rumours had hinted that the phone could come with a 2800mAh battery.
Regarding rest of its previously leaked specifications, the Nokia 2 is expected to come with a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720X1280 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 212 processor clocked at 1.27GHz and coupled with 1GB of RAM. Also the smartphone is expected to come in four variants - TA-1023, TA-1035, TA-1007 and TA-1029 are the four variants of the Nokia 2 which have already been spotted in previous FCC certifications.
There will be an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will soon be upgraded to latest Android updates. Further the leaked photos point towards the fact that Nokia 2 will come with a design similar to that of Nokia 3.
Regarding the pricing, we believe that since the device will come with a relatively low end processor and lesser memory space, it will be priced below Nokia 3 which is currently available for Rs. 9,499 in India.
