Huawei Maimang announced with bezel-less 5.9-inches display and quad cameras

Finally, the wait is over for the Huawei fans as the company officially wraps off the cover from the much-awaited mid-ranger Maimang 6. The new device is successor variant of Maimang 5. Despite being a mid-ranger it is featuring a 5.9-inches bezel-less display with 2:1 aspect ratio and Full HD+ screen resolution.

Huawei adopted the latest trend of reducing bezels around the edges. The company’s own Octa-core Kirin 659 SoC is powering the device. The dual cameras are adorning the front and rear side. On the rear side the primary sensor is 16MP module whereas the secondary sensor is 2MP to provide depth of field feature. The dual front-facing cameras are 13MP and 2MP.

The Maimang 6 featuring a unibody metal design, it lacks physical button on the front facing side. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear side below the dual camera setup. A 3,340mAh battery cell is on board to keep the Maimang 6 lights on.

The Maimang 6 is released in a number of colors including Aurora Blue, Obsidian Black, and Streamer Gold. The device can be pre-ordered at a price tag of Yuan 2399 which is $364 at the current currency exchange rate. You can pre-order it today with a release from September 30th. Initially, it will be available for Chinese customers only but later on it will be announced for global customers at the Mate 10 lineup announcement event.
