It seems like the Nokia 2 is speculated to launch in November. The lower tier smartphone is going to be launched by HMD Global. However, this is all based on a rumour by people managing the official Nokia Myanmar Facebook page. The reports claim that the device is speculated to make its way to the Southeast Asian country in November. This isn’t the first time that rumours have surfaced online regarding the Nokia 2. In fact, there have been several leaks regarding the Nokia 2.
This device is expected to be even more reasonably priced than the budget-friendly and already low-priced Nokia 3. Geekbench entries a while ago already disclosed the internals powering the Nokia 2 which is supposed to be powered by the Snapdragon 210 SoC operating at a frequency of 1.27GHz. Coupled with this is 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. The Nokia 2 will come with a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display and a 720p resolution. The Nokia 2 is aimed at the more affordable market segment and will be running on Android Nougat, v7.1.1. Who knows? It might even receive the Android Oreo update in the future.
The Nokia 2 may never even make it to the West where HMD Global has another budget offering, the Nokia 3. The Nokia 2 might be restricted to developing markets, at the same time allowing more number of people to know a smartphone. What do you think of the Nokia 2?
