From the look of the things, it seems like Xiaomi is getting ready to announce another variant of their Redmi Note lineup. The upcoming device will be released as Redmi Note 5. The device is expected to be released pretty soon. Today the upcoming device alleged retail box appeared online. Back in August, the company unveiled the Redmi Note 5A for the Chinese customers but the company yet to announce the standard variant.
Unfortunately, the box didn't reveal any hardware details but the only visible thing on the retail box is the 5 Plus branding. From what we know so far the Redmi Note 5 will be featuring a 5.5-inches display with Full HD screen resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels. The base variant will have 3GB RAM with 32GB built-in storage whereas the top of the line variant will have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The MediaTek Octa-core Helio P25 SoC will be powering the Chinese variant of the device whereas the variant for other regions will have Qualcomm's chipset under the hood.
A 4,000mAh battery cell will be on board to keep its lights on. The device is expected to have the metal body and the Android Nougat pre-installed as OS straight out of the box. Apart from the standard variant, there will be a Note 5 Plus variant as well, however, most of the details of this variant are still in dark.
