16 November 2017 2

Rumors have started coming for the Apple iPad models that will arrive in 2018 and it’s being said that these models will feature the key things which can be seen on iPhone X. For instance, iPad 2018 may come with Face ID and if the recent report from Bloomberg is to be believed then the device will also feature a bezel-less display with a Pencil.

Now, in the league of such rumors, a new speculation has arrived, according to which the iPad Pro models will be powered by an 8-core Apple A11X processor. Well, Apple A11 Bionic chip is already so new and rumors say that the company will use an 8-core model for the iPad Pro models.

According to MyDrivers, iPad Pro 2018 models will debut the A11X chip that will add two more cores, bringing the count to a total of 8.

Three of those are said to be high-performance cores dubbed "Monsoon," while the five remaining energy-efficient cores are branded "Mistral." Another potential change from the current A11 Bionic is said to be the 7nm manufacturing process from the chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.

Apple iPad Pro 2018 models aren’t expected to feature the costly OLED displays like the iPhone X, but the Face ID is highly expected. Well, Apple’s facial recognition tech is expected to be employed on other products as well, though we have heard only about the HomePod for now. According to a recent report, the next-gen Apple HomePod which will arrive in 2019 could also feature Face ID.
