Apple is working on next-generation iPad Pro with new Pencil and Face ID. The device is reported to pack iPhone X like-design. The latest report suggests that evidence of the tablet have been covered in the iOS 11.3 firmware. Apple released the first beta of iOS 11.3 to developers as well as public beta testers earlier this week.
Yep, there’s definitely some references to a “Modern iPad” inside iOS 11.3. pic.twitter.com/JHHone2R1D— Filipe Espósito (@filipekids) January 25, 2018
"Modern iPhone" meant iPhone X. "Modern iPad" is probably an iPad with Face ID https://t.co/pbMAMj3QCe— Guilherme Rambo (@_inside) January 25, 2018
IhelpBR editor Filipe Esposito tweeted a picture of a terminal window with strings in the first iOS 11.3 beta refer to a “modern iPad”. If you guys remember, Apple iPhone X was also referred to a similar name before its launch. Apple's software engineers tagged it with “modern iPhone” in the early firmware.
The latest discovery along with the rumors and reports of latest next-generation iPad Pro with bezel-less design and FaceID hints the birth of a new Apple Tablet, which might be named “iPad X”, who knows. As mentioned above, the device reportedly lacks a Home button. Apart from that, it is rumored to be powered by the high-end 8-core A11X chip.
Let us wait few more days to grab more news about the device. Until then let us hope that the Cupertino giants will indeed release an iPad X this year.
