Apple is said to have registered many new devices in the Eurasian commission database earlier this week. Now, the two new devices with model numbers A1954 and A1893, which are described as Apple tablets running iOS 11 have allegedly entered into this database too. These directly hint that we may soon witness two new iPads from Apple.
These filings don’t reveal anything about these expected iPads, but we do have meat to serve you courtesy of some reports. One of the major features is said to be near bezel-less display just like the iPhone X. Also, they would include the Face ID authentication rather than the home button.
According to a few reports from the very known analyst Kuo from KGI Securities, the iPad models will launch in the second half of the 2018 and they will bring the major change in the design. But, these new filings indicate that the iPads in question may release soon. For instance, the MacBook and new keyboards joined the Eurasian database in May and they got announced in early June at the WWDC event.
This could be possible that these overhauled iPad Pros may not launch in next couple of months. These could a refresh to the cheaper non-Pro iPad line. Back in December, it was rumored that Apple will release the most affordable iPad next year at an aggressive price. Currently, the 9.7-inch iPad is the cheapest iPad tagged at $329 and the company is expected to announce something cheaper than this price.
According to Consomac, Apple could hold a media event in March where it may announce these suspected iPads. However, last year, Apple just announced the new iPad with a press release and with no associated fanfare.
