There are several reports on the internet that claim the iPhone 2019 model will feature triple rear cameras just like the Huawei P20 Pro. Well, if a new report from Korea Herald is to be believed, this would be the much-rumored iPhone X Plus model with a 6.5-inch display that could feature the triple lens camera for crisper and better photography.
Going a little back, Ming-Chi Kuo, the analyst from KGI Securities postulated that the iPhone X Plus will continue to have the dual rear cameras and now Kim Dong-won, an analyst from KB Securities predicts that we will see this big change coming via the iPhone X Plus 2018 model.
The triple lens camera offers enhanced zoom features that can also be utilized for augmented reality solutions. The third lens would likely enable 3x optical zoom on iPhone for the first time. This will allow the users to magnify the image in the viewfinder by up to 3 times without a reduction in quality like the digital zoom.
The analyst has also given its prediction for the Galaxy S10 that could launch in early 2019 that this will also feature the triple lens camera.
Samsung, which has a lower-than-expected demand for its latest Galaxy S9 lineup, will consider equipping its next premium phone with the triple cameras and a 3-D sensor to reinvigorate its smartphone business.
Kim Ji-san, an analyst from Kium Securities has added his insights to this report by saying,
The supply volume of smartphone parts, including camera modules and sensors, will likely to increase despite the slowdown in the global smartphone market.
