As per various reports surfaced online supporting the idea of iPhone X Plus, Apple might be coming up with three different models this year contrasted through screen size variations. Another rumor in this regard suggests that the larger display variant which might be called iPhone X Plus would feature a 6.5-inch OLED display offering a resolution of 2688x1242 pixels with impressive 450ppi (Pixels per inch) compared to the 5.8-inch display of the current iPhone X model.
The increased screen real-estate would allow the users to utilize the larger display iPhone to be used as the iPad i.e horizontally, offering much more information on the display in content-rich apps like Mail, Contacts, Calander and more.
This rumor is backed by the confirmed data shared by iHelpBR, which is a Brazilian website investigating the latest iOS 12 and Xcode. The website found out that by forcing the upcoming iOS (run on a simulator) at a resolution of 2688x1242 with 458 PPI forces the native apps to adapt with the landscape mode, offering features normally seen on the larger display iPads.
Notice in the screenshot, the Contacts and Calendar apps offer iPad type layouts that we earlier saw in larger display device like iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus, thus suggesting that iPhone X Plus would be treated in a similar fashion. This would allow it to take full advantage of the extra display area.
