Apple confirms 2018 iPhone launch for September 12th

30 August 2018 4

Apple has started to send out media invites for the much-awaited event confirming that 2018 iPhone models will be made official on September 12th. It is the same date which was being rumored since the past week. The invite features a Bronze circle with the text "Gather Round" and venue name which is Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California.

As usual, Apple has not shared any hint or teaser about what to expect at the event but thanks to the ever-buzzing rumor mill, we have a fair idea of the same. The biggest attraction of the event will obviously be new iPhone models which are expected to be three in numbers. These are rumored to be with 5.8-inch OLED display, 6.1-inch LCD display, and 6.5-inch OLED display. It goes without saying that the last one will be the most expensive of the lot. As far as features and specs are concerned, there are all sorts of rumors going around.

Other than 2018 iPhones, Apple is expected to announce upgraded variants of the MacBook Air and Mac mini as well. It is further reported to unveil the Apple Watch Series 4 which with a bigger display and relevant design changes. As for the iPad Pro, Apple is said to be all set to bring massive changes including slim bezels and ditching the home button. It means the inclusion of Face ID and no more Touch ID. There are said to be at least two models with 11-inch and 12.9-inch display sizes.

These are obviously rumors which means there is a good possibility that many of these speculations might not turn out to be true. Similarly, it is also possible that Apple might announce something which has not been reported in rumors yet. Either way, we will make sure to bring the latest news from the event.
