Apple debuted the all-new Watch Nike+ edition alongside the Apple Watch Series 4 last month. It made the standard edition available for purchase within a week of the unveiling but made the fans of Nike+ edition wait which is now going to get over for a few lucky ones. Apple has finally started to ship Apple Watch Nike+ edition preorders as well as made it available via select stores around the United States and other regions around the world.
It is indeed a great news for the fans of the special edition Apple Watch Series 4 the availability comes with a caveat. There are only a limited number of units available which means if you did not preorder and want to get one, you better visit your nearest store as fast as possible. Once the currently available stocks run out, it will be hard to tell when exactly Apple will release the next stock.
In terms of comparison, the Apple Watch Nike+ Series 4 is exactly the same as the standard one when it comes to features and hardware specifications. It is an edition aimed at runners and athletes with a few changes here and there to make it look apart from the standard offering. The biggest change is the introduction of a new reflective yarn featuring Nike Sport Loop Band which is expected to make early morning or late-evening joggings safer.
This special edition comes pre-installed with the Nike Training Club (NTC) app. It features a catalog of different exercises and workouts which can be performed by the user depending on his preferences or needs. It even suggests what kind of exercise/workout to perform depending on one's fitness goals and current activity level. And yes, the watch also comes with a bunch of Nike special watch faces which are missing on the standard edition.
The Apple Watch Nike+ Series4 edition is available with both cellular and WiFi+GPS variants. Both these variants can be purchased in either 40mm or 42mm wrist sizes. It starts at $399 for the most affordable model and goes all the way up to $499 if you want the high-end variant.
