Apple’s CEO Tim Cook is always seen defending Apple’s security offerings and that how his company is better at security than its rivals. Tech giants like Facebook, Yahoo and Google have been into serious data breach scandals lately and this gives Apple a strong point to defend. While giving an interview in a show on HBO, Tim hinted towards these tech giants that how they use user’s data and personal information which is "weaponized against us with military efficiency,".
While talking about how Apple makes Google’s search engine a default search engine in iOS devices while taking billions of dollars in return from Google, he said, "I think their search engine is the best," while also admitting that partnership with Google isn’t ‘perfect’.
He went ahead sharing the security measures included in Safari browser that helps the user to better utilize the search engine considering the navigation aspect of it. Talking about the features, he said. "Look at what we've done with the controls we've built in. We have private web browsing. We have an intelligent tracker prevention," and also "What we've tried to do is come up with ways to help our users through their course of the day. It's not a perfect thing. I'd be the very first person to say that. But it goes a long way to helping."
