Apple 22 Nov
Cupertino tech giant Apple is generally not known to reduce the prices of its products, though the company surely takes advantage of the strategy in the regions where its products don’t perform as expected. Now in the latest development, Apple is considering price cuts for iPhone XR by giving subsidies to telecom carriers in Japan as per a report published by a popular online journal. In the Japanse market, iPhone 8 is outperforming iPhone XR which is priced at $750.
Currently, it's not sure as to what extent Apple might drop the prices of iPhone XR though chances are that the these would only be for specific geographic regions as the company would find appropriate. It’s quite interesting to see that besides Apple has a strong position in Japanese smartphone market, the company is facing a competition by its very own product i.e iPhone 8 where people are preferring it over the latest product.
In another news, chances are that Apple might be relaunching iPhone X as well just like it once did with iPhone 6 by relaunching it years after its launch. We’ll wait and see where the Cupertino tech giant is heading with this one though it’s surely interesting to see that consumers are opting for a smaller display in iPhone 8 than iPhone XR.
